As we close the 2020-2021 school year, the athletic department would like to provide an update on athletic physical requirements  to participate in athletics for the 2021-2022 school year.

This past year, the State Board of Education approved the following modifications for this past year ONLY:

Date of Current Physical - Requirement for 2020-2021

  1. Before 3/1/2019 - Needed valid, up-to-date physical
  2. On or after 3/1/2019 through 5/1/2020 - Granted a temporary extension to participate until June 30, 2021.
  3. On or after 5/2/2020 - Will participate based on the normal policy that all physicals are "valid for 395 days".

Many of our current student athletes have a physical on file that was dated between 3/1/2019-5/01/2020 and were granted the extension through June 30, 2021.  However beginning July 1st, you must have a new physical in order to participated.

Anyone that submitted a physical that was dated on or after 5/2/2020 will be subject to the normal policy of "valid for 395 days".

If you missed the Heart of a Husky event, you will be responsible for getting your own physical from your primary care physician prior to being cleared to participate in summer workouts and all sports for next school year.

The new updated physical form can be found on our website.  Additionally, all student athletes must have a new EKG Screening and be cleared prior to participation.
